March Diva Inspiration Hop

Welcome to Verve's March Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This month we've got a fabulous challenge that's sure to put a spring in your step! So in addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, you can play along with the challenge and link up your creation for a chance to win another prize!  Each month the Verve Divas get together and bring you some oldie but goodie stamps sets from Verve...each one of us featuring a previously released set, and in the case of some of us, pairing it with a newly released set.

I'm loving these sparkly hydrangeas...I purchased a few different colors. These particular flowers matched Stampin' Up!'s Groovy Guava stitched ribbon perfectly so I paired them together. This stamp is from a real old set, Celebration of Thanks. I just never get tired of this set!

Then I decided to pair old with new:

I used the "Forever and Always" from the previously released No Matter What set and matched that with "Smitten" from the freshly inked More Than Love set. I inked up a square of pink paper, distressed the edges with Black Soot distress ink and then added a layer of clear crystal glitter to the perimeter. The glitter helped to tone down the black a bit and add some vintage/girly-ness as well. I also added some paper flowers, satin ribbon, daisy chain lace and Onyx Pearl Liquid pearls.

Our March challenge is Spring Has Sprung:

It's time to ditch the winter blues! Create a card that sings Spring using inspirational quotes, pretty colors and florals or themes that celebrate new life. Whether you draw inspiration from the graphic or blaze your own trail, just show us what spring means to you!

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines.

  25. Just poppin' by to see what you've been up to, my friend! I think of you often, especially when I'm crafting. :) These cards are so lovely, as ALL of your stuff is.

I started working almost-full-time (32 hours) at an accounting firm, until April 15th, as an admin assistant. Busy, busy, busy. I'm the hired help, so you know they're busy. ;) Hope you are well, and that your business is well! Take good care of yourself, okay?
