CASE Study...Polar Opposite

Happy cold Thursday in January friends! It's time for another challenge at CASE Study...I've again worked my magical fingers to take a completely CAS creation and morph it into something in the polar (no pun intended) opposite direction...

To keep with the theme of Donna's card (cold), I started off with Maja Design's Vintage Frost Basics collection papers and...surprise! No flowers! I didn't think they really went with a 'polar' theme...however, I did add lots of sparkle, glitter and grunge to it! The hearts were made by doing the opposite of what I'm going to show you tomorrow for my Diva Dare post, I took a Snow flurries embossing folder and inked the protruding designs (as opposed to the negative design which outlines the design). I sent that through my Big Shot and impressed upon the hearts were the inked up snowflake design. The hearts were made with Verve's A Cut Above Heart Quartet Die set. I added a Lacey Circle, topped with two regular circles and stamped the snowflake pattern from Verve's Snowflake Splendor set. The sentiment was cut off of the bottom of Maja's 13th of December scrapbook paper. As a last thought, I outlined the hearts, circle and sentiment banner with Platinum Stickles.

Here's Donna's sweet card:

Want to see how the other CASE Study design team members were inspired?
Here's the list of the other ladies' blog:

January Guest Designer: Erin Thiem

If you'd like to play along with CASE Study's challenge this are the deets:
1. Create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off-the-page item), based on provided inspiration (being a featured creation, made by our Muse).
2. Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code CSC174), and link it here with the inlinkz widget below. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.
3. A new challenge is being posted every Thursday at 12.01 AM EST, and you've got until midnight on Tuesday to submit your entry.
4. You may enter as many times as you like, but you're asked to provide a newly designed project.
5. We will choose the authors of four most impressive creations, who will be awarded the Winner and Top 3 awards. In addition, there might be a person chosen randomly from the list of players, who will receive the prize provided by the sponsor - if there is one.
We will announce the winners on Wednesday.
6. If you'd like to be considered for our next month-long Guest Designer, put "GD" next to your name when linking up your project (only valid on every second challenge of the month).
7. Above all, have fun - and be inspired!
