be mine.

Happy Sunday morning friends! Last weekend I had the wonderful pleasure of going away on a 'scrapbooking weekend retreat'...though I did not 'scrapbook' anything, I was able to make some cards...and using limited supplies, no less. To pack for one of these occasions is a daunting task. Only take what you can carry...how on earth to you prioritize? My job? Pack up a whole craft room's stuff into one suitcase. Ugh...I inadvertently left home some of my very favorite accouterments, including my beloved roll of twine, however, I did have this piece of raffia tucked into my accessory case, so it sufficed:

My table mate, Kathy, threw down a punch of tags (blank ones) and said we all had to make something with it. This is my result...very simple, but vintage and soft nonetheless. :)

Have a wonderful day!

Paper: Kraft tag
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black

  1. Love this, Andrea! Wonderful touch with the liquid pearls around the doily. Packing for a w/e such as this would be insane!! Glad you had a great time :)

  4. Love the tag. I love doing tags and atc's. Something small but endless possibilities. I also go away for weekends to scrap and it's very hard to pack minimally. I know for me, I never know what I want to work on. I usually go to Pennsylvania. If you don't mind me asking. Where do you go as I am from the jersey shore as well. I know of one that is in cape May but have yet to make that one. Thank you for the inspiration.

  5. I know what you mean about the packing. I used to do this once a month with a MeetUp crafting group. I got one of those craft carts with wheels from Michaels and one of those cases they sell with the paper covered boxes at Joann's. It is about 6"x8"x11" and has a handle on top. It is for mini cutter and score board, ruler, craft knife, scissors, glue, tape... all kinds of little tools. Then I sort of color coordinate paper or paper pad and embellishments. The craft cart is a pretty good size even with the 'tool box' in the bottom. Once I have that and the paper in there, I kind of fling in ribbon rolls, pearls, flowers, blling... whatever. And there is plenty of room. Of course, the main thing is REMEMBERING, as you said! Your tag came out great!!
