New Verve Spotlight Hops...Programmed to Party

Welcome to our September 2013 Spotlight Hops!  We're so excited to share some new Verve with you! Each day this week, the Divas will be shining their Verve spotlights on a different set, so stay tuned for a week filled with inspiration! Everything previewed this week will be available in the Verve online store on Friday, 9/27.  Today's featured set is Geared Up and a brand new die...Award Banner die. Here's my take on this cutie robot set:

If you can believe it, I really have no 'kid colors' of card stock in my stash...well, my current stash, anyway. I had to dig waaaaay back to find this bright green paper. I think it works well with the black/gray/white neutrals of the card...it certainly adds a pop of color! The robot is colored with Copics and I happened to have this bright green matching ribbon...so I just had to use that as well!

  8. Very different for you... You happened to hit on my signature color. I call it chartreuse; others call it apple green. Whichever it is, my whole family calls it 'grandma's color' as in "I'm wearing grandma's color today!" I don't use it in card making much, either. After seeing this cutie, I will have to give it a try!

  23. So cute! I was wondering how you would create a card with this set since it wouldn't fit with your "normal" style. But I do still see some "Andrea" in this card! Love that bright green against the black and white.
