Viva La Verve...The Best Grandparents

Hello blog friends! Today is Friday which means there is a new sketch at the Viva La Verve challenge forum! Charmaine is our hostess this week and in honor of her love of bright colors, I pulled out some pretty, Spring-y and bright color for my sample here:

The sentiment is courtesy of Verve's newly released Promoted Plain Jane. With my kids essentially having 8 grandparents, this stamp will get a lot of use with me. I stamped it onto a piece of the patterned paper and then stamped the sentiment again on a piece of the pink (in the same pack of patterned paper), cut out the word 'promoted' and adhered that over the black and white one. It gives your sentiment a bit of oomph and a little more 'eye time'...which is the purpose of working for a stamp company, eh? :) The bow is made from Verve's Stormy Skies ribbon collection, I took a length of it and crumpled it up between both of my hands until I had sufficient wrinkle in it. I then tied that off with a twine bow and a cute little Prima gem.

Here's the down low on participating in Verve's Friday sketches:
Every Friday our talented Divas host a little Viva la Verve (VLV for short) sketch challenge for you! Play along with all of the sketches for a given month by uploading your cards using that month's sketches to our SCS gallery using the proper keywords and then posting all of your links in the Sketch Champions thread (posted the last week of each series of sketches). Do that by the entry deadline (the last Thursday of the month) and you'll be entered into a random drawing for a $100 e-gift certificate to the Verve Store!

Do I have to use Verve Stamps?
Nope. We're equal opportunity stampers around these parts. Of course, we do LOVE to see you shine your Verve if you've got it! And we might just pick some mystery prize winners every now and then
from the cards that shine a little Verve.

Have a great weekend!
