Paper Sweeties May Sneak Peeks...Dad

Hi and welcome to day 2 of the Paper Sweeties' May release sneak peeks! Today I'm showcasing a set called You're the Most Wonderful...and I decided to dedicate this one to my dad. I'm not in the practice of making masculine cards, but if I scrounge around my craft room, I can usually find accents that are not so 'over the top' girly...which my dad is the polar opposite of (girly, that is). Here's my sample using this very versatile set:

I've been addicted to burlap lately, it seems...and now that I notice it, neutrals as well. But I think that both of those details add to the masculinity of this card as well as the key, copper liquid pearls and the patterned papers. The black shape is a Top Note die that I cut and dotted the perimeter with the liquid pearls (they almost look like rivets...which are VERY manly ;) The sentiments are sponged and the center panel was cut with a Quilted border punch.

Come see what the other Paper Sweeties' design team gals have come up with using May's release stamps.
Thanks for coming by...and enjoy the rest of your day!
P.S. I'll be back tomorrow with a SUPER feminine card...  :)

  5. Ooh, you did good gal! Much more masculine than the last one you said was as masculine as you get! No bows! (When I'm tempted to tie a bow I just tie a knot...) this is great!

  8. Well done! Guy cards are tricky, but you've managed to stay within 'your style' and make it masculine as well.
