Guest Designing with My Creative Scrapbook

In March I got a wonderful email from Pam Rangel of My Creative Scrapbook asking me to design with a kit they would be releasing in May. She said that she knew I would love it, so would I like to take the opportunity to design with it? Oh, my yes! Lovely, vintage papers and embellishments...all put together for you so all you have to do is assemble! Easy peasy...here's what I did with my Prima  'Limited Edition' kit:

Here's a tutorial on how to make the lacy flower button on the above card:

You'll need an 8" strip of the lace, a chipboard button and a needle and thread:

Start on one end of the flat side of the lace with a basting stitch along the whole length of the bottom of the lace:

When you get to the end, gently pull the thread taut:

Attach both ends of the lace with a stitch:

Now using the same basting stitch, follow the end up to the outside perimeter to secure the two ends together:

Tie off the end with a knot and snip off the thread:

The end result of the outside flower...the back of the button is a sticker, but to make it look 'authentically' sewn on, we're just going to put a couple of stitches on the button:

The stitch will also help to secure it a bit better, but you only need one or two stitches for the effect:

Voila! Finished product:

Lastly, here's an altered chipbook made with the contents of this kit (this kit is loaded with stuff!)

Thanks so much for stopping by...I hope I've given you some inspiration regarding this fabulous 'Limited Edition' kit!
