If you remove the flower band (I call it a belly band, not sure why) the card can be opened by pulling on the two purple floral triangles.
Inside reveals the sentiment.
Here’s the flat version so you can get a better feel of how it opens. The band is shown up at the top. It does not open, it simply slides from the bottom up to the middle to keep the card closed.
The outside panels are all sewn and I added some Zva Creative flourishes, antique copper corners and Dark Chocolate Liquid pearl drops to both the top and bottom exposed panels.
To keep the card closed, slip the ‘belly band’ up onto it.
Here are the directions:
Cut Early Espresso to 6” X 6”, turn paper 45º and fold left and right corner in at 2 & 3/8”. Cut off top and bottom points flush with folds. Fold each side panel inside point back 1 ¼”. Measure patterned paper and sew onto front exposed panels. On the inside, measure and adhere patterned papers, add liquid pearls, copper corners and stamp sentiment. To make belly band, cut an 8” X 7/8” piece of patterned paper, wrap loosely around card and glue it into a loop. Add flower. After band is in place, add crystal flourishes.
Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me, I hope you were inspired!
