Christmas in April

Happy Wednesday all! I was feeling in the spirit of Christmas, maybe because a) for the end of April our weather sure feels like the end of December and b) I had these lovely Maja Design papers on my desk so I thought I'd go with the swing of things:

Here are the instructions, in a nutshell:
Cut card base to 5 ½” X 4 1/4”, mat 4 times at 1/8” increments, ending with patterned paper. Adhere  2 matted, sewn panels of patterned paper, 2 ¼” X 4” and 2 ¼” X 3 ¾”. Glue border punched 1” patterned paper horizontal strip to base and layer lace, seam binding with bow and pearl strip over top. To the bow, add raffia, jingle bells and stick pins. Cut sentiment panel, sponge inside, trace with Spica pen while still in die, fill in negative space with Early Espresso shapes and stamp sentiment in the middle. Dot with Liquid Pearls and adhere to banner piece on card. Add decorative corner and hand stitches to top and bottom corners. Easy Peasy?

Thanks for stopping by~

  2. So you just outlined the inner circle with a marker? I haven't heard of Spica pens. Should I be embarrassed?

  4. That is NOT easy peasy in my opinion, but it sure is beautiful!! So many lovely layers and I really love the hand stitching in the 2 corners. Nothing says handmade like hand stitching! What a beautiful card.

  6. Lovely, Andrea!! The bells are the perfect finish. I promised myself during the Christmas rush, that I would do at least one Christmas card a week so I'd be ready for the season. You've rattled my cage with this card because I haven't done a single one! Time to get some going...
