CASE Study...Sunshine For My Soul

Welcome to CASE Study's latest challenge! In some of the past weeks I've been  making CAS cards to mimic JJ Bolton's lovely style of card making. Last week I added a bit more detail, but this week's sketch got all and all 'Ewen-ized'.  I drew out most of the colors, kept the sunshine and came up with this card here:

I very loosely followed Jen's Deconstructed sketch from last week. The papers are from Prima's Alla-Prima collection and though I've had them for quite some time, this is the first time I broke them out. The sentiment is from Verve's Doodled Occasions set and I stamped that on A Cut Above die, Mini Bookplate, also from Verve. I inked the edges and gave a top and bottom dotting of liquid pearls. Under that is a Whimsy circle and a triple matted banner. I sewed some of the panels, distressed most of them and inked them all.

Here's the stamp set I used:

And the die:

Here's the list of the other ladies' blog:

and our April Guestie:

Here's the down-low on CASE Study's challenge:
1. Create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off-the-page item), based on provided inspiration (being a featured creation, made by our Muse).
2. Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code CSC138), and link it to the CASE Study blog with the inlinkz widget. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.
3. A new challenge is being posted every Thursday at 12.01 AM EST, and you've got until midnight on Tuesday to submit your entry.
4. You may enter as many times as you like, but you're asked to provide a newly designed project.
5. We will choose authors of the four most impressive creations, who will be awarded the Winner and Top 3 awards. In addition, there might be a person chosen randomly from the list of players, who will receive the prize provided by the sponsor - if there is one.
We will announce the winners on Wednesday.
6. Above all, have fun - and be inspired!

  7. Such a gorgeous card! I envy your way with layering details! And is that a die cut behind the sentiment (the open flower petals)? Just stunning!
