CASE Study...Rule the World

Hello and happy Thursday! This month at CASE Study we're deriving wonderful inspiration from our current muse, JJ Bolton. She has proven time and again that she has a very clever eye for CAS, or clean and simple. I'm amazed by her wonderful work. For today's card, I decided that I wanted to put my own 'Ewen-esque' spin on it and convert her fabulous CAS design to my signature CAC design (Complicated and Cluttered). Here's my take on her card pictured below:

What I took away from JJ's card was the word 'world' in the sentiment. I knew that I wanted to base my design on that aspect so I dug through my Verve stash and found a super sweet set called Better with You. It's all coffee/tea/hot beverage themed and me little eye spied the "Given enough caffeine I could rule the world". I think that's true of most of us! :) Anyway, I did a bunch of layering on this one but not before using this method here to make the perimeter border design. The layering is as follows, starting from the bottom...Lacey Circle, doily, Floral Oval and a Labels Eighteen Nestie. I added lots of liquid pearls and sponging. Maja Design's Ska Vi Ta En Fika papers are hot beverage themed too, so they fit perfectly.

Here's the down-low on CASE Study's challenge:
1. Create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off-the-page item), based on provided inspiration (being a featured creation, made by our Muse).
2. Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code CSC137), and link it to the CASE Study blog with the inlinkz widget. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.
3. A new challenge is being posted every Thursday at 12.01 AM EST, and you've got until midnight on Tuesday to submit your entry.
4. You may enter as many times as you like, but you're asked to provide a newly designed project.
5. We will choose authors of the four most impressive creations, who will be awarded the Winner and Top 3 awards. In addition, there might be a person chosen randomly from the list of players, who will receive the prize provided by the sponsor - if there is one.
We will announce the winners on Wednesday.
6. Above all, have fun - and be inspired!
