CASE Study...One Person

Morning friends! CASE Study is bringing in a new month with a new Muse...this month the lucky gal is JJ Bolton! Another CAS master...I'm definitely getting my practice with the clean and simple and today's card is no exception:

I wanted to use the colors of JJ's card and the Mother's Day theme. I used a method of ribbon stacking that I found at Offray's website, but they have since removed the post. Simply though, it's making 2 loops of 2 different sizes and pressing down the middles. That gets attached to a length of ribbon that goes around the back of the card. In the center of that I glued a flower button. It looked pretty boring to me still, so I double pierced the perimeter of the card. I have to admit it still looks a little plain to me, but I am still trying to re-train my brain. :)

Want to see how the other CASE Study design team members were inspired?
Here's the list of the other ladies' blog:
Teneale Williams
and our April Guestie:

Here's the down-low on CASE Study's challenge:
1. Create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off-the-page item), based on provided inspiration (being a featured creation, made by our Muse).
2. Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code CSC135), and link it to the CASE Study blog with the inlinkz widget. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.
3. A new challenge is being posted every Thursday at 12.01 AM EST, and you've got until midnight on Tuesday to submit your entry.
4. You may enter as many times as you like, but you're asked to provide a newly designed project.
5. We will choose authors of the four most impressive creations, who will be awarded the Winner and Top 3 awards. In addition, there might be a person chosen randomly from the list of players, who will receive the prize provided by the sponsor - if there is one.
We will announce the winners on Wednesday.
6. Above all, have fun - and be inspired!

  2. Not plain at all, I love this CAS beauty. Love how the beautifully scripted sentiment is front and center. Have tried to fold ribbon before like that and can't seem to get it right, yours looks great!

  3. What a beautiful CAS card, Andrea!! Love it. The piercing finishes off the card perfectly and the green button goes so nicely with the pink ribbon. Really great! TFS.
