Paper Sweeties' Sketch Challenge...Easter Wishes

Happy March 1st! The Paper Sweeties are rolling out a brand new sketch for this month and I've gone and made a sample for said challenge. I've used some of my favorite papers from my favorite paper company...Maja Design. I've paired them with some fabulously coordinated velvet hydrangeas...a score I made on my weekend getaway last week:

I started off with Maja Design's Walking in the Forest collection. The warm browns and creams went perfectly with these glittered velvet hydrangea flowers. I strung 3 up across the front but then there was too much {dreaded} open space between the flowers and the sentiment so...I added some Flag die pennants and glitzed them up with a bit of liquid pearls. The top sentiment is from the Occasions set and the 'Sent With Love' is from Paper Sweeties' You Are Amazing set. The bottom accents consist of a length of Crochet/velvet ribbon with a strip of pearl adhered across the middle and under this a border from Verve's Scalloped Trim Trio die set. The outside perimeter is roughed up and dotted with Liquid Pearls. Again, the middle looked a bit bare to me, so I added two daisies to each side and stuck a copper brad in their centers.

Here's the sketch we're working with:

Paper Sweeties hosts monthly sketch inspirations on the blog — a great opportunity to ink up those Sweeties sets of yours and get crafty! Each month on the 1st we will have a brand new sketch inspiration for you to play along with. You can enter as many times as you wish throughout the month — the more times you enter, the more chances you’ll have to win!
It’s as easy as 1-2-3 to create, share and win:
1. Create a card or project based on the current Sweeties Sketch Inspiration graphic using ANYTHING from the Paper Sweeties Shoppe!
2. Post a DIRECT LINK to your project in the Inlinkz gallery — please use the URL to your actual project, not your entire blog, so we can easily find your creation. You do not need to have a blog to enter — you can use any online gallery such as FlickrPinterestFacebook or Splitcoast.
3. Our sketch challenge will run for the entire month. You can play along as many times as you wish — just please remember to use Paper Sweeties products on your creations! (You are welcome to play along with the sketch inspiration just for fun not using goodies from our shop, but your submission will not be eligible for the monthly prize).
The challenges will end at 6 pm on the last day of each month. The new sketch will be revealed on the 1st of each month. The winner of the previous month’s sketch challenge will be announced on the 1st of each new month and will win TWO FREE STAMP SETS!!

And in other news...

Instead of our regularly scheduled March *new* stamps being released on the 15th of the month, we bumped up the release schedule so that the *new* stamps are LIVE in the shop TODAY!  Hopefully, releasing the Easter theme stamps early will make it more convenient for you to order your favorite *new* Sweeties stamps and create pretty projects for the upcoming Easter holiday ... spring events ... and more!

To help celebrate the March 1st *new* stamp release, we are offering FREE SHIPPING from March 1st through March 5th on your Paper Sweeties orders ... use FREE SHIPPING coupon code at checkout to redeem your discount!

  1. How pretty! I love the flags underneath the flowers, the soft colors, and the amazing bottom accent. I also like the two simple sentiments.
