The image is courtesy of this link here on Pinterest. I used some Maja Design Life by the Sea collection of papers. They were perfect for this challenge. I sponged all the edges first with Antique Linen distress ink, then a light coating of Vintage Photo. Some of the panels are sewn down and I added a strip of crocheted lace behind the main panel. There is also a strip Verve's Pennant Trim die at the bottom and a sweet Navy/Ivory Gingham bow.
I hope you'll be able to play along with us and show your true patriotic colors!
Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting!

ReplyDeleteI am a subscriber and really love this card. One of my favorites of yours. Where did you get the image?
ReplyDeleteHow does one get an image from Pinterest? I am new to the Pinterest thing... does one just copy and paste and print? Great card BTW, Andrea. So vintage and cute!

ReplyDeleteHi! This is a wonderful vintage, patriotic card. Love the layers of stitching, and the great sentiment. The checkered bow really makes one feel as though they are waving a flag and the passing presidential train as it passed thru small town America just 60 years ago.
