Maja Design Giveaway!

Maja Design, maker of beautiful vintage papers, is having a giveaway! This month, 2 of the designers are sharing their love of Maja papers with one lucky commenter! I'll be giving away the Walking in the Forest collection, and if you have not seen my prior posts using this line, here is a little rundown:

And here's a new card I made with an Autumnal theme (and lots o' glitter):
(light box)

(natural light)

Funny thing about the seam binding...I was trying to make my own, you know, watching You-Tube videos, spraying, baggie-ing the threads and I really screwed up on this one. I was trying to age the edges and I used distress ink while it was still wet and all the colors bled out. Out of Walnut Stain came green, blue, red...I had no idea that the ink had that kind of spectrum in it. However, those colors were PERFECT to match the colors in this paper. It only took 2 years for me to find the right match. I guess there's something to be said for hoarding! :)

Stamps: Harvest Blessings (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Walking in the Forest collection (Autumn in the air, Autumn in the air - bs, Jeans,  Jeans - bsDie cut letters - bs, Birch - bs, Fresh air) Maja Design
Ink: Cocoa (CTMH), Walnut Stain distress ink (Ranger)
Accessories: Dotted Scallop border punch (EK Success), paper & fabric leaves, crinkled seam binding, Rosette die, Platinum Stickles & Liquid Pearls (Ranger), copper brads, sewing machine, paper flower (Kaisercraft), leaf  & Doily Lace border punch (Martha Stewart), Top Note die (SU!), negative of a Vintage Corners die (Cuttlebug)

You have until February 28th to leave a comment here on this post. I will pick a random commenter to win a 6" X 6" book of these beautiful papers. Good Luck!

  3. Andrea, your cards are always inspirational and absolutely gorgeous! I never leave your blog feeling I had not learned something or a new way of using my goodies. I find myself especially drawn to the Autumn Wishes card with use of the pretty blues. I hope to remember that when Autumn arrives, so that the coolness of the clear skies can come through. Thanks for showing clever ways of using the layers and design elements. hugs, de

  4. LOL - gotta love how seeming errors bring about new creations. You're in good company - goulash was created via an error (sour cream dropped in to the king's stew) not that your cards look like King's stew wink, wink! Lovely array of gorgeous Andrea creations! Have a fabulous weekend :)
