The first page is always the hardest. I mounted Verve's Surely Goodness stamp onto a medallion, sponged the edges and dotted the perimeter with liquid pearls. I added two strips of lace, one authentic and the other with a strip of pink velvet. The flowers (both peach and white/yellow) were a score(!) at Michael's in the $1 bin. Then there's some Zva Creative flourishes sprawled about. I added some Star Dust Stickles to the flowers for a bit of sparkle. I sewed the edges with my sewing machine and when you're making a two sided book...the seam shows on the back. What's the fix, you ask?
A border of pearls...
They beautifully cover up the stitch marks. This was a heart that I made for a card using a heart shaped burlap piece with lace hot-glued around it. It ended up being way too big for a card, but perfect for a
6" X 6" Chipboard book. I placed a banner stamped with 'this wonderful life' across the bottom and attached a velvet flower and Alphabet Twill ribbon. And of course, some lovely pink pearls...
I didn't want to sew again, yet in retrospect I should have because I layered the back with pearls again. The fabric frame is from K & Co. that I've had gathering dust for years. I added a cool pre-printed sentiment a la Coco Chanel that reads "In order to be irreplaceable one mush always be different". The floral accent consists of a yellow felt flower, Truly Madly Deeply Seam binding from Verve and some pearly leaves. I stamped 'love this' from Verve's Remember This set.
Here's the back...with more pearls. I added a doily and MORE pearls, pink ones, to connectors in the doily. I also added a ring of Buttercup yellow liquid pearls as well. The sentiment is Verve's You Make Me Smile Plain Jane and that's stamped and sponged on a Rectangle die. The floral arrangement consists of paper flowers, tulle accents, a hemp bow and a pink twine bow. And, oh yeah, another pink pearl.
This last page came together very quickly. I had these felt flowers from the $! bin at Michael's...they came 4 to a package. I also have these heart doilies that are just too big for a card...so voila! They have come together! The sentiment from Verve's So Fluttery set is stamped on a kraft envelope and I added lots of pearls. The bow is from Verve's Truly Madly Deeply Seam binding collection and I crinkled it up a bit before making the bow and adding the button. And what is inside the envelope you may ask?
Nothing really....
Just a cute little die cut from K & Co.'s Valentine collection and Verve's Beautiful Plain Jane stamped underneath the flap.
Here's the whole book.

I got a large (2"x 2-3"), metal (heavy), flat camera, old style phone and crowns. Wish I'd gotten some of those felt flowers but didn't see any at my store. Love the paper, LOVE the card!!
