You + Me...Meant to Be

Happy Sunday blog friends! Two moods struck me at once today. The mood to play along with this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast and to make a card with bold color. I have to admit I haven't done either in a long time and it felt good to accomplish both! I was compelled to play along with this SCS challenge as the 'queen for the week' is my teamie from Verve, Janelle Stollfus. What better reason to break out my beloved Verve stamps than to honor Janelle with some purply goodness!

I used Maja Design's Ska vi ta en fika line of papers, these sets are specifically Björnbärsrutor - (bs) and  kaffetåren den - (bs)...I love the bold purple and green in combination with the aged browns. I added a Kaisercraft flower doused with Crystal Sticles and some Eggplant grosgrain ribbon. The ribbon underneath is from the Ribbon Carousel... it's a luscious Olive Silky Crushed ribbon. The sentiment is from Verve's previously released Making a Statement set, not only is the sentiment from this set, but so is the purple stamped frame on the perimeter. I then used Verve's  Rounded Scallop Frame die to cut out the panel. I added some distressing to the inner rectangle and Liquid Pearls to the outer perimeter.

I pretty much followed the design of Janelle's card as well as the Frame die and the floral theme, but changed up the colors and the stamps.
