Ribbon Carousel...Winter Spirit

Hi and welcome to this month's Ribbon Carousel challenge! It's a new month, a new year and a brand new challenge...this one perfect for these cold, wintry days here in the North East United States...Winter Spirit! I initially was going to go the blues, creams and kraft sort of colors, however my brain was not impressed with what my hands were crafting so I decided to take a hike in the opposite direction. Here's what I mean:

I pulled out Maja Design's Vintage Winter collection and decided to go with red/tan collections. The sentiment panel is stamped with the title track to Verve's Snowflake Splendor set. I distressed, sponged and pearl dotted the perimeter of both the sentiment panel and the larger vertical banner. The ribbons across the top are from the Ribbon Carousel and they are as follows: underneath is  7/8" Natural Cluny Lace Oval Crochet Ribbon, over that is some 5/8" Burgundy Satin Ruffled ribbon, a bow of brown Jute/Twine and finally a snowflake adorned bow of natural hemp. I tore the bottom right hand side of the paper and added a little crochet lace peeking out from behind...that corner was way to bare to just leave alone....  :)
