CASE Study Valentine

Happy Thursday! So, who on the East coast is anticipating a little snow tomorrow? I am, though I have to work, I always enjoy the softness of snow, the muffling effect, the snow scape beauty. Then I want it to go away. :) Ok, I didn't mean to chat on, I'm bringing you a new inspiration piece for this week's CASE Study featuring super talented Ashley Kemp-Gerstel. Another CAS card for you lovers of the such...this card came together pretty quickly for me, I guess since I love the color combination:

I gleaned the color combination, heart, the background texture and splash of red from Ashley's card. I changed up the theme, added some gingham ribbon and  used this week's Mojo Monday sketch as my design. Sentiment and heart are courtesy of Verve's newest release, No Matter What.

Here's Ashley's lovely inspiration card:

Want to see how the other CASE Study design team members were inspired?
Here's the list of the other ladies' blog:
Teneale Williams
and our January Guestie:
Tasnim Ahmed

Here are the deets:
1. Create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off-the-page item), based on provided inspiration (being a featured creation, made by our Muse).
2. Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code CSC125), and link it to the CASE Study blog with the inlinkz widget. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.
3. A new challenge is being posted every Thursday at 12.01 AM EST, and you've got until midnight on Tuesday to submit your entry.
4. You may enter as many times as you like, but you're asked to provide a newly designed project.
5. We will choose authors of the four most impressive creations, who will be awarded the Winner and Top 3 awards. In addition, there might be a person chosen randomly from the list of players, who will receive the prize provided by the sponsor - if there is one.
We will announce the winners on Wednesday.
6. Above all, have fun - and be inspired!

  1. One of the best Christmas ever was about four years ago when it snowed close to two feet at Christmas (very rare for us here on the coast) and I just LOVED how quiet it was. You could literally hear the snow falling. Stayed that way for about five days (we don't have much snow removal equipment at best and what we have was used to clear the main roads). Extra bonus: Lost 2 pounds shoveling all that stuff off the driveway LOL!

Love the card and well done with that Mojo sketch. It totally kicked my butt!! Love the CAS feel to it too. Enjoy the snow in the morning :)

  2. Очень красивые открытки!

  3. This is darling Andrea, I love the embossed polka dots! We have a soft snowfall this morning. It's pretty, but like you it doesn't have to stick around long ;)

  4. What a great CAS card, I love the colors and design!

  5. Agree with Marisa and you....there is a "silence and beauty" that comes with a new snow! Love your card and fabulous use of the Verve set...a little CAS for you but, wonderful!

  6. Oh Andrea I do love this card! I don't use much Kraft but always love it when I see the completed card. Gorgeous my friend!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I always enjoy reading them and appreciate the kind words!
