Mojo Monday on Tuesday

Hello! I was out and about trying to do (start!) some Christmas shopping and I ended up at Michael's (I don't know HOW I ended up there ;). I was browsing around and saw these cute stickers that had accordion fold Christmas trees on them and inspiration struck! I pulled out my Alteration's Rosette die and set about how I could make these cute little trees without having too much dimension on each layer. I decided to apply this experiment to my Mojo Monday card and here's how it went:

The base of my card is Maja Design's It's Christmas Time collection. I sponged the edges of each panel and sewed them to their mats. The Christmas trees are also from the same line of papers...I used the Rosette die to cut out descending lengths of paper and glued them together. Each one looks different because I used a alternate method for each, but I decided to leave them that way as they were all relatively close in stature. I added a sparkly gold star to the top of each one and I enhanced the design with Zva Creative pearl accents, antique lace, seam binding and bows. The sentiment is from Verve's Brighter Spirits set and that was stamped on Maja paper, fussy cut and sponged.

Here's Mojo Monday's design for this week:

  4. Lovely card. The trees are terrific - they add dimension to the design. Why did you find yourself in Michael's? It's simple, your feet are conditioned, after years of practice, to make for there whenever your out and about :)
