Viva La Verve...An Autumn Mosaic

It's Friday! Two things come to mind on this fine day, 1) I'ts the end of the work week...yay! and 2) It's time for a new Viva La Verve sketch, hosted by yours truly! I'm not too good at putting sketches together...my knowledge base of Microsoft Word is limited, but I was able to eek out a sketch that Julee made look much prettier than the original! Here's my take on my sketch, with the design pictured underneath:

This is a very unusual card for me, no pearls, flowers, ribbons or any semblance of 'girly'. After cutting out the Labels Five, I dotted the perimeter with liquid pearls. The sentiment panel is stamped with a verse from Verve's Autumn Splendor set, sponged and liquid pearled around the edge. I raised that up over the center panel which is made up of a bunch of scraps I had from cutting the other panels. :)

Here's the 411 on the Viva La Verve challenge:

Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded to Splitcoast Stamper's Viva La Verve forum by the last Thursday of the month. The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch! This month's keyword with be VLVSOct2012 for the whole month of October.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

  4. Maybe not your usual dose of "girlyness" but very pretty nonetheless! I love all those warm colors mixed in with the dark chocolate. And a very pretty way to use up some scraps.

  5. Love it!! Did you have to sit on your hands and lock up the flowers and bling up!?!?

  6. What great Fall inspiration!! Which I so desperately need because I've never been much into the color scheme for this season.... Lovely, Andrea; this should get me on the right path.
