October Diva Inspirations Hop

Welcome to the World Card Making Day edition of the Verve Diva Inspirations Hop!  Along the hop this month we're debuting FIVE brand new plain janes that just hit the store today, so grab a drink and hop along to see a fresh mix of old and new Verve and maybe even win a prize! You can find out all the prize details and see the full reveal of the new plain janes over on the Verve Blog today. I made a card with mostly black and white and was going to keep that exclusive, but then decided to add a smashing dash of color:

I first started off stamping two of Verve's new Plain Janes, Square Medallion and Loopy Petals, onto white card stock. I adhered both panels together, added the silky ribbon/bow and gingham ribbon. The sentiment panel consists of a Lacey Oval adorned with both solid and liquid pearls and the All Aflutter die in the middle. I also jazzed that up a bit with liquid pearls and stamped the 'for you' sentiment from Verve's Twitterpated set. Lastly I added that big, fat orange flower. Eye catching, huh? :)

Julee gave us a beautiful sketch to work with today, in honor of World Card Making day:
