Paper Sweeties Debut...Happy Wishes

Today begins our FUN few days of festivities, specials, inspiration, give aways, creativity ... and new stamp sets released for August!! For the next two days the Paper Sweeties will have something fun to offer and share with you all, so be sure to pop over to the Paper Sweeties blog for a visit daily to check out the news and specials ... including a contest designed for YOU to create a future Sweetie stamp set!

I made today's sample using the adorable Mahalo! set. One good thing about these sets are that you can use them in conjunction with the Sweeties dolls, or you can make cards with just the sentiment only...it's your choice! I tend to be more of a sentiment person, so here's my card based on that:

I had intended to follow a sketch on this card, but then my fingers started moving faster than my brain, so here's the outcome of that occurrence. I added the 1.5" Champagne Silky Crushed ribbon (I am in LOVE with this stuff!) and tied a sweet little bow. The gem in the middle is actually a button and I attached that to the middle. I also had every intention of exploring detail possibilities for the cut out flourish at the bottom, but the ribbon covered it so I abandoned that idea. The focal panel consists of a doily, a Scalloped Circle Nestability, a Memory Box Quinn Flourish and finally a Floral Oval Nestability. The top two designs are adorned with liquid pearls (I love that stuff, too!). I sponged and sewed the outer edges as well.
Have you seen what the other Paper Sweeties designers have come up with?
