New Verve Meets Viva La Verve

What a treat, not only are the Diva peeking new Verve to be released soon, but it's also time for this week's Viva La Verve sketch! So you know where I'm going with this one, I've combined (yes, you guessed it) both  fun events into one! I've also incorporated some older Verve sets as some of the new dies being released coordinate with older sets...Yay! Here's my card based on Diva Teresa's design, pictured below:

I started off with some Songbird dp by Prima. I distressed and sponged all the edges, then sewed the perimeter. I layered a length of  5/8" Ivory Pleated Satin Trimming Ribbon across the top and then wrapped some White Hemp cord around 3 times, tied it into a knot and added a vintage button. I then used Verve's new Pennant Trim die to cut out a piece of patterned paper and stone colored paper and layered them together. I tucked that panel underneath the lace. The flowers was made with the new Pointed Flowers die which coordinates with this sentiment's set, Lean on Me. The leaves are stamped with the previously released Dream Big set, then cut out with soon-to-be released Dreamy Leaves die. I pulled up the edges of the flower after sponging them with Tea Dye ink and added a dollop of White Opal Liquid pearls to the points. The center is a brad from Close To My Heart that I had in my stash. To keep in line with the pennant theme, I stamped the sentiment on Verve's Ribbon Banner die, sponged the edges and attached it under the Pennant trim border.

Here's Teresa's lovely sketch:

There are quite a few of the Divas hopping around today, showcasing this lovely set and dies, check out all the glorious inspiration they have to offer:
