Viva La Verve...Take Two

Here's just a little different approach to this week's Viva La Verve challenge design, presented to us by Amy. I was trying to avoid using strings for the string accents and I was trying to think outside the box as far as what could replace that accent piece. This is what I came up with:

I think that the sentiment banner is just a bit too big to be overlaying the heart die. But I just really wanted to use that verse! :)

I posted the details for the Viva La Verve challenge yesterday, but in case you missed it, here it is again:

Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded to Splitcoast Stamper's Viva La Verve forum by the last Thursday of the month. The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch! This month's keyword with be VLVJul2012 for the whole month of July.

Enjoy your Saturday and thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love the way you have used the pearl flourish in place of the strings. Very clever. I shall now be singing that chorus "Give thanks" all day!!

  5. I always think your cards are the best! And, I think we all have days where we look back and think something should have been different. Just recently, I posted a card that I was not happy with (The Shabby Tea Room Challenge). I sooo wanted to add that little bit of blue that was in the foreground but the instructions said white/cream, kraft and pink so I didn't. Don't you know that when I looked at the cards others had made there was the blue!! AND one of my favorite designers who has never been to MY site decided to drop by that very day. Heaven help me... I was mortified. I will never make that mistake again. Best foot forward at all times is my new motto. I've just always been one to follow instructions to the letter and that doesn't always work with creativity. Anyway, I love your card just as is!
