Viva La Verve...It's Okay

Hi and good morning! I stayed up late last night to make a sample for this week's Viva La Verve challenge brought to us by the lovely Maureen. I didn't have a chance to prop this card up on the window sill, but here is my card using the sketch below:

I started with a beautiful patterned paper base from K & Co. I rounded the corners of the inside panels and added a big chunky 1.5" White Silk ribbon bow from the Ribbon Carousel. I added a flower that already had the pearl accents and enhanced that with the tulle spikes. The sentiment is a  Verve Plain Jane called Be Okay. I stamped that onto a Classy Label die, decorated the perimeter with some liquid pearls and attached it to an Oval Nestabilities die cut. I added a Doily lace border with a rhinestone border for just a bit of interest.

Ok, so here's the story on the Viva La Verve challenge:

Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded to Splitcoast Stamper's Viva La Verve forum by the last Thursday of the month. The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch! This month's keyword with be VLVJul2012 for the whole month of July.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh so soft and pretty. Beautiful flower/ribbon embellishment.

  2. Gorgeous card with lovely dp, sentiment, border trim, and bling! But, oh so stunning is the ribbon/flower treatment!!!

  3. Great flower cluster and the touch of punched lace is a lovely touch. Have a fabulous weekend :)

  4. Nice, nice!! Makes me think of some papers I haven't looked at in a while that would look lovely on a card like this. Always inspiring and lovely, Andrea!! Had to skip the Verve Challenge for July but plan to get right in there in August.

  5. Lovely card! I love the background papers and especially the pretty white bow with the black tulle. That along with the rhinestones adds so much elegance.

  6. Love the layered embellishment, gorgeous with all the pearls!

  7. What bright, pretty papers! Am I at the right blog? ;) I love that coral-y color, and the big florals. Gorgeous!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I always enjoy reading them and appreciate the kind words!
