Viva La Verve...Enjoy Today

Happy Friday! I've got a very low accessorized card to show you today...although it looks busy there aren't many special embellishments. Most of the detail work was done with scissors. The design is based on this week's Viva La Verve sketch, which was so beautifully designed by Teresa. Here's my sample card:

I made that darling flower by stamping 2 different sizes of the Hope Blooms flowers and fussy cutting them out. I then took my scissors and cut towards the center on all the lines. I ruffled up some individual petals and stacked the two shapes on top of each other. I added a big Zva pearl to the middle and placed it atop a Bloom & Grow Elegant Leaves stamp/die cut.

Here's the skinny on the Viva La Verve challenge:

Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded to Splitcoast Stamper's Viva La Verve forum by the last Thursday of the month. The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch! This month's keyword with be VLVJun2012 for the whole month of June.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

  7. Gorgeous card Andrea. I love the vintage look to this and the shabbyness of the papers. It looks old but pristine. Awesome.
On my blog today I have a tutorial for 'grown' borders that I have just been playing around with. I shows the cutting and gluing so that you can 'grow' your borders into deeper, elegant and lacier pieces. It works wondeful with the new Sue Wilson Vintage Lace Accents border and also Parisian and Lace Doily.
Anyway, hope you can pop by and let me know what you think, I would appreciate your keen eye.
Hope you are well and having a good summer. We are having lots of rain and floods still in some areas (not near me thankfully)
    Hugs Linda x
