Best Wishes On A Sunday Morning

On this gloriously beautiful Sunday morning, what else is there to do besides make a card? Well, I guess that's just the FIRST thing on the list....check! I've made a card combining a few different challenges...I don't like to jumble too many together as then it becomes more about adding requirements than having a nice cohesive design. But sometimes, the challenges work together and you can get a surprisingly lovely creation:

My card is made with Waltzingmouse's current sketch and a little influence from Splitcoast's Inspiration challenge. The website where the inspiration choices came from is Artful Whimsy. I chose this sweet tag here, full of soft pastels. flowing ribbons and delicate accents. Finally, this week's Featured Stamper is Stephanie Kraft (how perfect is her last name? In more than one way?) and I chose this card of her's here. It's very similar to the Artful Whimsy piece, so it worked well for my card. I used some beautiful 1/8" Curly sparkling Ribbon and Vintage Seam Binding from the Ribbon Carousel and a gorgeous pink pearl flourish from Zva Creative. I incorporated the stitching, flourish and flowers from Stephanie's card, but changed the sentiment, layout and papers.

Here's the sketch from Waltzingmouse:

I hope you have a fine Sunday, I have one of those rare ones that all the other Ewens have plans (outside the house) leaving me to try to find something to do by myself. Oh, what shall I do with myself?!...I'm sure I'll think of something....  ;)

  10. A day to yourself - I'm jealous LOL! Fun touch with the ribbon tails. Beginning to wonder if you can make a card without pearl or bling flourishes...hmmm a little tooth brushing challenge perhaps ;) Enjoy your peaceful day ((hugs))
