We'll Be Friends Forever

Hi all and happy Thursday! I sat down at my craft table a couple of days ago with the intention of making my Sketch For You To Try sample and got side-tracked but today I've finally got it ready to post. Two weeks ago, Della from I Brake For Stamps sent me the most lovely stamps and I knew that I wanted to use one on this card I did:

Here's the sketch I used:

The stamp is called "Friends Forever" and I just love the mix of fonts it contains. If you like this stamp and want to shop at I Brake For Stamps , you'll get a 10% discount by using this coupon code: SAVE10ANDREA. To make the sentiment panel, I die cut a Fleur De Lis Rectangle and made it into a square by cutting though the middle and reattaching the pieces. I then cut out another Fleur De Lis design and did thisI added some 5/8" Antique Gold Satin Scalloped Edge Ribbon which I ruffled up with a needle and gold thread. I then added a row of Zva pearl lines to cover up the stitch. I also added some taupe Zva individual pearls to the Fleur De Lis design.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  1. What a beautiful card and sebtiment! I love the song I learned that uses this exact line in it! A tear jerker for the little ones we have sing it at the end of the year in preschool. Your card is so filled with warmth and lots of love for what you do!

  2. Beautifully frames sentiment and use of the sketch. Nice touch with the corner tabs.

  3. I love the way that die cut plays over the sentiment. And I don't know how I missed that tutorial! I check on you every day!! Anyway, I have those dies and I'm gonna have to give it a try... Lovely card, Andrea.

  4. Hi Andrea,
Sorry I haven't been by for a couple of days, it has been busy at home with the prep work for my nieces Communion. I have been teaching her mum and brother cardmaking (fast track to!!), you can see their designs tomorrow on my blog. I am up to my eyes making the cake decorations at the moment; lots of beads, wire, feathers, a ton of paper flowers again (to match the invites) etc at the moment, but I needed to take a break, so I came to catch up.
I adore your card and the way you have used the diecut to act as corners to your focal sentiment. A very lovely design. Hugs Linda x

  5. GORGEOUS!! LOVE the pearls and that beautiful ribbon! your message about the ribbon tutorial! I'm sorry I haven't had the chance to respond. I appreciate your help! I'll do this tutorial and get it out of the way! LOL! <3

  6. Absolutely lovely, Andrea! The frame around the sentiment is so striking! Great take on the May SFYTT!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I always enjoy reading them and appreciate the kind words!
