Viva La Verve...Celebrate Today

Hi and welcome to this week's Viva La Verve sketch! Shannan has given us a run for our money this week, not only is the sketch CAS, but the design is not something I've seen recently. I wanted a way to incorporate those arrow-like panels without making them arrow-like panels, kwim? So this is what I've come up with:

To make those delineations in the arrow panel, I cut 4 small slits, two on the top and two on the bottom. I snaked a piece of Siam Pink Vintage Seam binding through the first hole on the bottom and wound the ribbon around the brad. Then I came up to the top hole and fed the ribbon through to the back. I then repeated the process for the second brad. I then covered the slit marks with the rows of pearls. Something just a wee bit different, yes? The pearls are courtesy of Zva Creative.(Can you tell that I am in love with them?) The sentiment is from Verve's latest release and this set is called Joyful Blooms.
Here's Shannan's sketch:

Here are the deets on the Viva La Verve sketches:

Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded to Splitcoast Stamper's Viva La Verve forum by the last Thursday of the month. The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch! This month's keyword with be VLVApr2012 for the whole month of April.
