Verve's April Release...Joyful Blooms

Happy Saturday! I'm away this weekend at a scrapbooking getaway (though I will not be doing any scrapbooking...probably not much of anything else but kibitzing...but that's besides the point). I made a card for this week's Viva La Verve with first-time sketcher, Janelle! She's come up with a fabulous sketch for us to use and I put some new Verve and some shabby accents together to come up with this little darling here:
Verve has released a new set called Joyful Blooms and it has a wonderful coordinating die to cut out those gorgeous flowers. Any time I don't have to fussy cut is a good time. :) I embossed the stamp in white and then cut out the design with the dies. I then stacked the two layers and added some pearls to the middle and, of course, some pearl flourishes branching out.

Here's Janelle's sketch:

Here are the deets on the Viva La Verve sketches:Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded to Splitcoast Stamper's Viva La Verve forum by the last Thursday of the month. The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch! This month's keyword with be VLVApr2012 for the whole month of April.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!
