Thinking of You

Hello and happy Sunday! I'm back from my weekend getaway and much to my delight, not only did I kibitz steadily the whole time but I also got 6 cards done! You'll see most of them next week, but I do have one for today, based on this week's Featured Stamper...the lucky Shellie Daniel (aka shellied). I CASEd this card here, and came up this:

I changed the design of my card and the colors but kept the overall 'Thinking of You' theme and the floral theme the same. I made the paper flower with a Heartfelt Creation's Posy Patch dies and to get that decorative edge, I punched the petals with one section of a Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch. Here is a link to a website with explicit instructions. I sponged the edges with some Antique Linen and Walnut Stain distress inks before curling up the edges and then layering the dies. The crocheted flower is from the dollar bin at Michael's and the gem middle is from Close To My Heart. Speaking of Close To My Heart, I got to spend some time with Helen, my former upline, Lila, Charrise, Debbie, Kathy, Kim and other wonderful women who made this weekend getaway sheer joy! Thanks gals, and until next time...keep creating!

  3. Hi Andrea,
Sounds like you had a good time over the weekend. I did not understand 'kibitz' so I looked it up and there are several uses so I assume as you met your pals it must be the 'to converse/chat' version?
A gorgeous card and a lovely casing of the original card.
    Take care Linda x
