Mojo 237...Mother's Day Wishes

Happy Monday! I'm starting off my day with a little Shabby/Mojo goodness today...having a sketch with a theme to follow really takes a lot of the guesswork out of card making, thankfully. It's not so often that I can just sit down with no purpose and whip something together. I've taken Mojo Monday's rather challenging sketch and added a bit of Shabby Tea Room to it:

I have to say that I was initially hung up on those four circles. I wanted to represent them without them looking like four circles and that's when I looked up (on the shelf) for some intervention and found my Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslits. I added some Zva Creative pearl/rhinestone flourishes, some pearls to dress up the butterflies and a sweet floral cluster that, in my mind, I imagine that they are being drawn to. (Improper English, but gets my point across :) I used Verve's new Purely Sentimental set for the Mother's Day sentiment.

The inspiration photo for The Shabby Tea Room and we're to use pink, aqua, neutrals and flowers (no stretch for me :)

Hope you have a wonderful day...it's a beauty here in New Jersey!

  7. Hi Andrea,
Well that is a difficult sketch to make beautiful, but you did it wonderfully. Although your grammar wasn't as perfect as you would have liked it to be, your idea was just delightful and your card is totally dreamy :)
