Vintage Birthday

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm back from a weekend getaway with my cardmaking pal Stephanie...we were at the ScrapAway GetAway in Ocean City, NJ. We had lots of fun, met some wonderful new people, connected with fabulous friends and just had an all around great time! We were both able to get our craft on, Stephanie made 13 cards (!) and I made about 8. I was also able to make some of the cutest little vintage lace blooms...I'll show you those later. Anyway, here is one of the cards I made when I first got there:

This card was made with some vintage lace (thanks, Samara), a Memory box scroll die, gems, flowers, pearls...you know, all the stuff I love. The inner sentiment panel was hand stitched (since it was too much trouble to lug my sewing machine along). I was also able to make some masculine cards this weekend, too...I have to tell you that I am so thrilled with the way they came out, I'll be posting them soon.
Now for the daunting job of unpacking...yuck.
Before I go, I just want to send out a special thanks to Lila and Charrise for making this weekend so much fun! Three days goes by so fast, I'm already looking forward to next year's event! And thanks to all of the thoughtful and kind people I met at the crop, what a fabulous group of women! Until next year!
Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

  11. Oh my goodness! Wow, wow, wow!!!! My new favourite card of yours haha. It's just so visually scrumptious. The contrast of dark and lights. The moodiness of it. It's like tucking into a dark box of luxury chocolates, with mint crisp & orange centres. Wonderful! Pxx
