I could only find one baby image...I know that there are two coming, though!
I initially used some green liquid pearls that I TOTALLY misjudged the colors on, so I put some other pearls on top of the icky ones:
Eww...you can see the green really well in this one:

As far as the advice goes, this should sum it up:

Now for some more crafty inspiration and pearls (of wisdom) it's onto Debbie Carriere's blog!
And some more sage words....A day goes on forever, but the years fly by. It's true...believe me. :)
Best of luck to you and Mark...I know that you two will make wonderful parents!

Wow! That is great news for Julee!! And your card is so amazing. I love all the soft colors and details. I was sort of lagging in inspiration but you gave me a kick start this morning :)
ReplyDeleteMy unsolicited parenting advice, in addition to those pictures, keep a journal. It is amazing all the little things you forget. My husband kept a running journal from the time our son was born. It is so much fun to read through it now.
hugs,
Ellen
Stunning baby card and so elegant with the soft colors, pearls and pop of light blue! That picture was too funny, but you're so right...you think you'll remember and years down the road you don't recall the details anymore.
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet *pearls* of wisdom! You are so right, it seems like yesterday that my children were babies, and now they have their own! Your card is full of beauty ~ especially the *pearls*!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I agee with you about the pictures. I am one that loves to take pictures of every occasion and so enjoy going back and looking at them. My children are grown and I have lots of grandchildren and some great-grandchildren to take pictures of and they all know Nana loves to take their picture.

Another spellbindingly adorable card Andrea. I only wish I knew how you did it. Lurve the glittery button. i've been seeing quite a few on blogs this weekend. Do you perhaps have your fingers hot on the trend lol. The surprise blog hop is a beautiful sentiment for your friend. I'm sure Julee will be overcome by it's kindness and your generous spirit. Pxx

ReplyDeleteHi Andrea, this is a beautiful card and the soft colours are just adorable, just as the new babies will be. As to baby advice you are so right; pictures, pictures, pictures and as Ellen says, keep a journal, even if only a simple one. Its so annoying when someone asks 'when did?' and you can't remember etc.
ReplyDeleteI wish Julee a speedy delivery with health and best wishes for the new family. Linda (UK)
