Love is Patient, Love is Kind

Happy Valentine's Day! My sweet husband took myself and our daughter out for dinner on Saturday night in pre-celebration of Valentine's day, since I'm sure that every restaurant in town will be booked tonight. I'm actually very happy with a home cooked meal (let's be honest, NOT made by me) as a Valentine's gift. One seemingly arbitrary night per year where I don't have to think of something to make and then when I do, follow through on it. So instead of squandering my one day off this week thinking about menus, I decided to make a Mojo Monday project, not a card, but a tag:

A close up of the stamped sentiment from Verve's Love Notes set:

Since I still had these papers on my desk from my earlier card, I thought best to use up some of the mess currently occupying my craft space. The flowers were made with Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch Die cuts and I simply cut out two of each size, fluffed them up a bit and glued them to each other. A black gem finishes off the middles. The bow is tied with some Black Vintage seam binding from the Ribbon Carousel and there's a bit of lace and twine around the flowers. The die cut is from Memory Box, that particular one is the La Rue Heart.
Ok, off to plan something for my husband to make for dinner....  :)
Have a great day and be sure to stop back tomorrow to see another card I made using this flower technique.

Stamps: Love Notes (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Lost & Found Union Square dp (My Mind's Eye)

  4. Hi Andrea,
this is just beautiful and the layout is quite simple but very effective.
Happy Valentines day, so pleased to hear you will be getting a well deserved break from cooking. Its the one day of the year us women can usually expect a bit more pampering and why not. Enjoy every minute.

  5. There's that beautiful Memory Box heart die cut! I do love it. They were out of stock somewhere I looked for that, but I was just window-shopping.

How nice to have time for paper crafting instead of dreaming up dinner plans! We just had soup and grilled cheese, since I had dental work done today.

    Happy Valentine's Day!
