A New Year...A New Mojo

Hello and Happy New Year! I've dove (doved, doven?)...I'm jumping into this new year with a Mojo Monday card that I've combined with The Shabby Tea Room and Splitcoast's Try a New Technique Challenge. I'll explain each after I show you some pics:

A sweet Valentine sentiment from Verve's Hundred Hearts set:

Score! Paper flowers from the wedding dept. at A.C. Moore (I bought a HUGE handful of these sweet bundled flowers:

Chipboard wings which covers the Shabby Tea Room's requirement of wings:

The Mojo Monday sketch that I followed:

The Shabby Tea Room's Inspiration picture and we're to also add some type of 'wing, winged thing' to our project...check!

Splitcoast's challenge is to add something "wet" to our card, whether it be rain, snowflakes, dew drops (which is what I added to the top left corner).
This card also qualifies for The Kraft Journal's "Anything Goes" challenge as well, so I've entered it there, too.
I'm hoping to get back to regular posting, now that the holidays have come and gone. It was really nice to spend some quality and down time with the family. Hope you all had a wonderful experience as well and I'll 'see' you tomorrow with the Ribbon Carousel's first post of the year! (You'll want to catch it, it's an easy one~)
Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

  2. Way to start the year off with a "three for". Gorgeous as always and I see you have found a new store to add to your flower collections with :)

Was wonderful to relax and enjoy family etc. Didn't realize how burned out I was and just relaxing, having jammie days and not leaving the house much was just what the doctor ordered :) Five puzzles done, two books read and lots of family time - my heart is full :)
