I wanted the grosgrain ribbon to be the focal point, just like in Shirley's card, but I changed up the design, the stamps and the colors. This card was really so simple, the peony was preprinted on the patterned paper and I simply outlined it with a Lattice Rectangle Nestability. A few drops of Liquid Pearls around the perimeter and it's done!
Have a great night and thanks for visiting!
Stamps: Words Cannot Express (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Antique Cream (Creative Imaginations), Black, Kraft
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Lattice Rectangles (Spellbinders), Basic Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (SU!), Platinum Liquid Pearls (Ranger)
Size: 5 1/2" Square

Sensational! The colors are perfect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love the colour combo. The bow really sets it off!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Andrea!. I love seeing your old style again. I know the DT takes one away from their "own" style - I am experiencing it myself - I know you don't visit my blog (at least never a comment) but my style is Bohemian and my 9 DT's are cutsie, which I have really enjoyed - funny G-d brought them to me. I can see that your DT are not your original natural style - and I love your natural style that comes with the ZVA girli style the best - sorry! But this one is really gorgeous. Please forgive me - I am on such a budget that I have the big box in my car but have NOT had the money to mail it yet. I am hoping with this disability cheque at the end of this month I will have enough left over to mail it. I am so sorry - I want to mail it asap...it is just a matter of making my money do what it needs to do first. Disability sux!!! xox
ReplyDeleteAndrea, this is beautiful - I see why you stayed up - a card like this has to come out once the idea starts to germ. What a beauty!
ReplyDeleteLovely case, Andrea. Loving that wide striped ribbon and beautifully framed focal image. Hope your work day goes quickly :)
ReplyDeleteOh-so-pretty! I love that flower, with its botanical-style drawing. And the background paper reminds me of vintage wallpaper. Love!
