Here are some details pertaining to this contest:
Each month a different Diva will "host" a week long challenge. The challenge itself is up to the Diva hostessing, so you never know what it's going to be! The Get Your Diva On Challenge will start on the 2nd Monday of every month. Participants will have until the following Sunday night (October 16th) at 9 pm Mountain to enter. The winner will be announced Tuesday, October 18th. We'd LOVE to see you use your Verve stamps, but if you don't have any, we'd still love to see your creations!!
The winner, chosen by Julee, will win a $100 Gift Certificate to the Verve Store!
For my card, I made an uncharacteristically "Un-EwenStyle" card, in fact, it's rather CAS...{gasp!} I know, but when I followed this tutorial here to make these darling poppies, I loved the red so! I didn't think I would be able to pair them up with anything too vintage or girly...so I went with the alternative. Here's the alternative:
The black accents were made with Verve's Elegant Leaves die, embossed with coordinating stamps from the Bloom & Grow set. The flowers and swirls are the negatives of a Flower & Flourish border punch by EK Success. I attached the tiniest of pearls to the centers of those cute little flowers.
Remember to link up your creation in the Verve Forum using keyword GYDOOct2011 and Verve if using Verve stamps/dies. Looking forward to seeing some homespun creativity there!
Have a super creative week and thanks for visiting!
