Get Your Diva On...July Challenge

Verve has another installment of an exciting contest, Get Your Diva On, which will name the next release's Guest Diva! For those of you that are new to these challenges, this is a fun way to challenge your stamping skills!  Here's a little more info on that...

Each month a different Diva will "host" a week long challenge. The challenge itself is up to the Diva hostessing, so you never know what it's going to be! Isn't that kind of exciting?!! The Get Your Diva On Challenge will start on the 2nd Monday of every month. Participants will have until the following Sunday night (July 17th) at 9 pm Mountain to enter. The winner will be announced Tuesday, June 21st. We'd LOVE to see you use your Verve stamps, but if you don't have any, we'd still love to see your creations!!

The winner of the challenge (chosen by Julee) will get to be a Guest Diva in an upcoming release AND will receive all of the stamps/dies for that release for free! They will also get to play along with the Divas during the pre-release Spotlights as well as at the Release Party!! How's THAT for exciting?!!

So the challenge this month is the Pretty Purse Plastic challenge!! You know, all those pretty Gift Cards sitting in our purses, just waiting to be used. Aren't some of them beautiful? Use one of Diva Maureen's pretty purse plastic images (seen here) as inspiration or one found in your own purse! If you are using your own, it would be fun to see it by adding it to your card picture

I chose to make a Pretty Purse Plastic holder, instead. I do use gift cards a lot, as gifts (go figure), and I'm always looking for an interesting way to present them. I borrowed this idea from a dear friend, Lila Williams, who gave me the template a couple of years ago and I figured this would be the perfect project for this challenge! Here's my "Home Depot" (my hubby's fave) gift card/matchbook holder:

I don't think my husband will mind the girliness of it all when he sees what's inside in store for him. :)

Have fun and happy creating!
