The Smallest Things

Parting from my shabbiness for just a bit, I made a card for a new challenge blog called the Ribbon Reel that I saw on the Shabby Tea Room's site. Their first challenge consists of a color palette, one that is very pleasing to the eye, I might add. We can choose one or all of the colors listed, I did not initially plan to use all of them, however I was directed to use them all (by some all-powerful crafty force). Here's my very colorful card:

Here's a close-up shot of the sentiment:

And here are the colors to choose from:

For my focal panel, I used a My Favorite Things Doily die-cut, one in white and one in yellow. I cut the middle out of the white one with a Spellbinders Circle die and then laid them on top of each other. Before adhering them together, I rotated the top panel slightly to give that double loops effect. I stamped my sentiment in the middle, added flower to the outside and adorned them with a MS Frond punch and Verve's new A Cut Above die-cut Elegant Leaves. I used a daisy trim to accent the inner perimeter and to that I added some red gems. I popped the whole panel up with some thick dimensionals. The background gingham is a designer paper from Stampin' Up!

Off to work today, hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
