Play Date Cafe...Mom's Pocket Card

Welcome to another color challenge at the Play Date Cafe! Our lovely color story comes from one of our lovely senior designers, Ruby. The picture she chose is an absolute dream and the hues are equally as soothing. Here are the colors we're working with this week:

Whilst I was browsing throughout blogland, I came upon a technique on Beate's blog, fresh & fun, for making a pocket, or criss cross card. You can view her easy, step-by-step video tutorial here on the Splitcoast website. I decided to make one of these for my mom for Mother's Day. Of course she reads my blog so this will not be a surprise to her, but it is STILL a hand-made card from her kid. Here's my pocket card using Ruby's warm colors:

Here's a shot of the insert adornments:

The Play Date Cafe is being sponsored by Paper Smooches this week, a new company from Kim Hughes featuring the sweetest stamps! Kim was a Go-to Gal for Paper Crafts Magazine and now has started her own line of stamps. Check out the PDCC blog to see what she is generously offering!
