I used a bunch of cast-offs for this card, boy does it feel good to use them up! I mixed paper lines {gasp!}...I'm usually frustrated by doing that, but these seemed to work together nicely.
Here's the Mojo sketch I used:
And the Shabby Tea Room's inspiration photo:
While the kids are in school, I'm going to head over to Michael's to see what I can find in the clearance bins. You with me, Marisa?
Have a great day everyone!
Stamps: Script (Stampin' Up!), Amazing Wishes (Verve freebie for previously paying Julee's car payment with stamp purchases...)
Paper: Devonshire dp (Kaisercraft), Tattered Time matstack (DCWV), Early Espresso, Very Vanilla (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: Walnut Stain & Antique Linen distress inks (Ranger)
Accessories: Charming Oval dies (Verve~A Cut Above), Abstract Flower border punch (EK Success), pearls, crinkled seam binding (MemrieMare), jute twine, Mulberry rose (Wild Orchid Crafts), sewing machine, daubers, flower middles (Bridal section of A. C. Moore)

Gorgeous card, and it oozes Andrea all over it :) Great DPs (you mix your lines well) and your flower with trimmings is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAs for the clearance bin, I beat you to it - was there on Saturday LOL! Nothing there (or in the ribbon bin that interested me) but had to pick up some of the Recollections mini roses they had on clearance!!! What is with these guys?! First they clear out their bling and half pearls and bring back a much more limited (insert "worse") version which offers less and costs more and now the mini roses are getting cleared out!! Think their card making supply buyer needs to get in touch with reality! Boy, am I a grouch this morning - better go get my green tea LOL! No seam binding to be found there either. HOpe you have a better trip than I did ;) Hugs!!
This is beautiful Andrea, I love your mixed paper lines, it works perfectly!
ReplyDeleteSo funny...I too purchased just about every Recollections flower on clearance at Michaels on Staten Island! I spoke to a salesperson there and they said they are replenishing their stock with Recollections rosette corsages..:(:(:(
