Viva La Verve...CASEing Jackie!

This week in the Verve Friday Sketch challenge section over at Splitcoast we're celebrating Jackie Pedro becoming a member of the "Dirty Dozen"! I took a peek into her gallery at Splitcoast and found a bevvy of inspiration. You can check it out HERE. This is a card of hers that I chose to CASE:

I love the combination of yellow and kraft, the super sweet ruffled ribbon and the gorgeous golden flower arrangement. I chose to use those details as the highlights of my card. Here's what I've come up with:

I'm not as good as Jackie at paper piecing so I didn't even attempt it. Well, I did, but those remnants got transferred to the card graveyard. And my crooked ruffley bow certainly has character! Good luck to Jackie and can't wait to see the inspiration she provides!
