Verve Plain Jane Sneak Peek

I'm back with another Plain Jane spotlight for Verve's new Autumn release sets! I love this verse as it is a perfect description of Fall ambiance. This background paper reminds me of the softness of certain earth tones and the wonderful spectrum of colors that goes hand in hand with Autumn. I was able to buy this card kit by My Mind's Eye with a 50% off coupon that I scored from A.C. Moore. I did dissect it a little when I started this card because even the inside of the card is color coordinated and made putting this beauty together a snap. I used Verve's new Ecclesiastes 3:11 Plain Jane set paired with Julee's sketch in celebration or World Card Making Day 2010:

                                                          Here is Julee's fabulous sketch:

I turned the focal panel just a bit to fit the whole verse and also that gorgeous tulle flower. I punched out the top and bottom of the longest panel with my MS Swirling Lace corner punch and ink distressed the edges to give them a little definition against the backdrop of the dp. The smaller panel was punched out on both sides with my Floral Band border punch and distressed a little as well.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check the Verve blog tomorrow as we are starting our showcasing of the new release sets in the form of a blog hop! And I'm on board!
Until tomorrow...
