Verve Autumn Release Blog Hop Day 3

Day 3 and the Final day of Verve's Autumn release blog hops!  All of this blog hopping is culminating today when all of the new release stamps are revealed! I had such an incredible time working with these stamps, Julee's designs lend themselves to such elegant creations and I find myself reaching for my Verve stamps ALL the time. These new stamps are NO exception. This hop is showcasing the beautiful set Bountiful Harvest. I don't often color images on my cards, however these designs colored so vibrantly really catch the eye! I used some Tombow markers with watercolor paper and an Aqua painter to design this card:

And, of course, a little close-up of the cute sentiment/bow/chotchkie:

Stamps: Bountiful Harvest (Verve)
Paper: Amber Autumn dp (DCWV), Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip (SU), Watercolor paper (Canson)
Ink: Walnut Stain & Frayed Burlap Distress inks (Ranger)
Accessories: Lacey Circles, Labels Five & Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Tombow markers, Aqua Painter, clear embossing powder (Ranger), Floral Band border punch & Yellow Dahlia-Persimmon 5/8" Calico (Martha Stewart), Foundry Flourishes & Mini-Medley Antiqued Copper photo corners (CTMH), gold cord & Large Oval punch (SU), gems (K & Co.), dimensionals, dauber
Size: 5 1/2" square

Here's another card with just a sentiment (which is my specialty):

I used this sketch from Julee's "World Card Making Day" designs:

On this second card, I did a little "stamp manipulation" where I masked the stamp a bit and shortened the saying a little to make it fit into my square.

Remember to go to the Verve Blog and upload your "World Card Making Day" sketches for a chance to win some new Verve! We could all use some of that, right?  Here are the deets:
  • Make a new card or creation inspired by the sketch.
  • Upload a photo of your creation to your blog or other public online gallery and mention that it's for the Verve World Card Making Day Release challenges.
  • Add the link to your photo to the linky form entry for the corresponding challenge.
  • If you participate in all 5 challenges, be sure to go to the Verve blog and leave a comment to let us know. A random participant could win the entire release!
