New Verve...Joy for the Journey and More!

Another day, another round of reveals and blog hopping! Today I'll be showing you cards that I made with 2 different stamp sets, soon to be released as Verve's Winter Collection 2010! I have had the most fun playing around with these versatile stamps, the possibilities are endless! This first card I'll be showing you is from a set called "Joy for the Journey":

For this card, I used my Stampin' Up Paper Piercer and Mat Pack to align the piercing. To enhance that look I also added some liquid pearl accents around the sentiment panels as well. I did a lot of layering with the Labels One and some Lacey Circles with regular Circle Nestabilities. Martha Stewart's Frond punch enabled me to make those leafy accents coming out from the Prima flower.
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Joy for the Journey (Verve)
Paper: Holiday Pinecone dp (Daisy D's), Always Artichoke (SU), Vintage Cream & Kraft (PTI)
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Labels One, Lacey Circles & Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Ecru Lace (Wright's), Fairy Tale Rose snow (Prima), Frond punch (Martha Stewart), White Opal liquid pearls & clear embossing powder (Ranger), paper piercer, dauber, dimensionals
Size: 5 1/2" square

Richly Blessed

This stamp set contains some beautiful sentiments and I chose this lovely saying for my card:

I chose to use more liquid pearls for this card as well as they really have a dramatic effect in outlining, especially since they are lighter colors being used on some darker hues, the effect is even more striking. Tosh  hooked me up with a place that sells TONS of paper flowers and I couldn't wait to use some of them, hence this card got loaded up.  It's an online store called Wild Orchid Crafts. It's kind of hard to tell from the picture but I did dry emboss the background cream cardstock for a little textured effect.

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Richly Blessed (Verve)
Paper: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue (SU), Vintage Cream (PTI)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Labels Five Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Paper Flowers (Wild Orchid Crafts), Frond punch (Martha Stewart), White Opal & Baby Blue Liquid Pearls (Ranger), Sizzix Flourish Embossing Plate (SU), Antique White satin ribbon (Papermart), dimensionals (SU)
Size: 5 1/2" square
