A Mid-Afternoon Pick Me Up Sneak Peek

I figured for most of us on lunch break now, we could use a little eye candy in the form of a sneaky peek at a new Verve Autumn release Plain Jane! This set is called Galatians 6:9 and is a fittingly Fall-ish verse. Take a look at this beautiful verse on the back drop of some earthy colors:

A few little close ups of that floral accoutrement:

                                                           And another:

And here is the sketch, designed by Julee Tilman, that I used in honor of World Card Making Day:

I used Becca Feeken's medallion tutorial to make the cut out in the Lacey Circles shape. I used the second from largest circle die and while the punches didn't all quite fit, I was able to put that gorgeous band-aid on my "oops" part. The floral "garnish" or in this case "band-aid" is simply, layered from the bottom, craft seam binding, glittered flourish tied with hemp, stick pins and a prima flower 'cherry on top'.

Thanks for stopping over, be sure to come back tomorrow as we start the sneak peeks of the new sets in the form of a blog hop!

  6. Slow down girl I can't keep up with you! All of these cards are fabulous including this one! You must be exhausted. It takes me almost as long to post as it does to make a card. The circle is great along with the flower and pins! Are these the new nesties? Did you get them online or in a store? I have been looking in the store's and have not seen them yet.
