Heart 2 Heart...Party Time!

In our family we're coming into the "birthday season". Just about all of my immediate and extended family have birthdays between October 9th and December 8th. My daughter was born on my birthday and my son's birthday is 10 days later. My poor husband has to live with 3 Sagittarii (that's the plural form...I looked it up...yeah, it doesn't look right to me either). Anyway, I can always use birthday cards about this time of year but I also need birthday invitations as well! Luckily this week at Heart 2 Heart challenges we are to make a birthday celebration project. I chose an invitation because I just received this cute little stamp set from CTMH called It's Your Day. Here's what I've come up with:

I fussy cut the dry embossed Curved Rectangle shape so that I could mat it on the blue Rectangle. I added the Deco Fan border around the edges to dress it up a little. Mind you, I would never make 15 or 20 of these for an invitation because I was ready to throw those deco edges into the card graveyard under my desk after playing with them for an hour. And being that I'm a Sagittarius, I would never hold back how I feel.

Check out what the other ladies on the Heart 2 Heart Design Team have come up with:
Mary
Deneen
Jamia
Jessica
Kelly
Mandy

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing all of your birthday celebration projects!

  3. Great invitation! I was wondering if you had a bunch to make! That is a lot of work, but looks great. I recently made 16 invitations, but had to do a very simple one. I really like the ribbon!

  4. I love the invite Andrea! Fantabulous artwork you have. If only I even knew how to do a gorgeous border. ;) I've just learned how to create a bow the right way. Thanks for sharing.
