Heart 2 Heart...Goth Halloween

Ok, so this is as close to goth as I can get. Our assignment this week at Heart 2 Heart Challenge is to use some type of embossing, be it heat or dry. I chose dry for this card simply because with CTMH cardstock a white core increases the possibilities for creativity. Here is my card:

I scored in 1" increments diagonally and then sanded the raised edges to give that worn look. The hardest part of that process was getting my lines straight. Makes me wish I had a Scor-Pal.  I"ll have to put that on my Christmas list. The pendant was made using Nestabilities Renaissance Hearts dies. I scored through and next to each point and folded it accordion style. Believe it or not, the red panel and the black panel are the same die cut. Once you fold the upper one, it shrinks giving the appearance of two different sizes. The sentiment panel was stamped in white craft pigment ink and I distressed the images a bit to tie it into the rest of the card.
So what time is it? Time to put your creativity into overdrive and show us some fancy embossing! Make sure to link up your creation to Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog and remember that although your creation doesn't have to be 100% CTMH, we love to see the endless possibilities with their products!
And for your viewing pleasure check out how the other H2H ladies have been workin' embossing:

  2. Very nice! The scored tiles is a neat effect and I love the pendant! I wanted a scor-pal too, but then found a Martha Stewart score board at Micheals. They are $19.99, so with a coupon you can't beat it! I thought I would still want a scor-pal, but I like this one. It is a little confusing at first because all the lines are 1/8". But that gives you a lot more choices. Just have to do math sometimes! Anyway, As always the details on your card is great!

I just got the Martha Stewart score board,
was only $19.95 (at Michaels with a coupon)and I don't know what I did without it. It has an envelope template and box maker instructions too. I highly recommend it.
